The third edition contains a number of changes, including additions and alterations to the calendars of the Anglican Churches in Britain and Ireland.

The second edition includes entries from the calendars of the Church of Ireland, the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Church in Wales, as well as that of the Church of England. Every biographical or historical entry has been carefully revised, and the readings checked. In this edition the text of the psalms follows the version published in Common Worship. (The first edition used the psalter from Celebrating Common Prayer.) The psalm refrains have been revised, both to comply with the changed wording of the psalter, and also in a few cases where it was felt some other improvement could be made. The new edition contains a full index of commemorations, and also an index of bible readings.
